In
the Veils Series, a "veil" of silicone is placed in front
of the neon allowing the neon colors to interact and blend within
the matrix of the silicone. The effect is to create a unique "canvas
of light", analogous to the use of water colors on paper.
"Triple Veils" explores color perception in the interaction
of three colors as viewed in pairs. The emotional response triggered
by these colors varies when viewed in specific pairs within the context
of of the whole trio. This concept was explored further in primary
colors in the series "Double Veils," below.
Please note, due to technical difficulties in photographing the Veil Series in particular, the photographs here lack a great deal of the subtle variations in color manifest by the neon and silicone.
