This piece is the most recent in a series in which a "veil" of silicone is placed in front of neon tubes allowing their colors to interact and blend within the matrix of the silicone. The effect is to create a unique "canvas of light", analogous to the way the water colorist achieves blends of color on paper.The resultant colors are intense with subtle interactions that unfortunately fail to be captured photographically.
