The "Venusian Swamp Flowers" are a continuation of a style first developed with the Jellyfish, then in the "Venusian Swamp Gardens," and "Venusian Clamora." These series of works all explore a world of fantasy flora and fauna from Venus. The "Swamp Flowers" consists of beautifully detailed hand-blown glass forms with undulating hand-blown neon tubes emanating from the center. The neon tubes are delicatedly highlighted with multicolored phosphors creating a subtle rainbow of luminescence.

Central to the design of Ehlenberger's "Venusian World" is the concept of a modular system. The system consists of modular conponents that are interchangeable and designed for either individual or group displays. Individual bases are constructed of wood (mahogany or oak) as noted above as well as metal and acrylic (for installations in which the bases are hidden from direct view). Both the glass forms and the wireless neon tubes are easily removed from the bases and are interchangeable.

The bases are designed for individual or group display and are intended to allow for mixing other components such as "Ocean Grass," "Stalaglites," "Venusian Clamora" and others.
